Kristian Solarik has officially announced his candidacy for the Green Party of Canada in the federal riding of Beauharnois–Salaberry–Soulanges–Huntingdon, formerly known as Salaberry–Suroît.
Kristian is no stranger to public service and political engagement. He was a candidate for the Green Party of Québec in the provincial riding of Soulanges during the 2022 election, where he earned the respect of voters, receiving 795 votes. As early as age 23, Kristian demonstrated his commitment to his community by running as an independent candidate for Montreal City Council in the Louis-Riel district in 2009.
Originally from Montreal, Kristian has lived in the region for the past 14 years. He is a devoted husband and a caring father to a 9-year-old son, skillfully balancing family life with his passion for building a more sustainable and equitable future.
Professionally, Kristian works as a sales representative for a Québec-based company that supplies operational rolling stock and safety equipment to businesses in the Suroît region and surrounding areas. With strong experience in transportation and safety, Kristian brings a practical perspective and a solutions-oriented approach to the challenges facing his community.
Kristian currently serves on the Executive Committee and Shadow Cabinet of the Green Party of Québec as Transport Critic. He advocates for forward-thinking policies that emphasize sustainability, accessibility, and innovation.
Known for his unwavering work ethic and passion for politics, Kristian is determined to bring transformative change to his riding. He envisions a future in which Beauharnois–Salaberry–Soulanges–Huntingdon becomes a model for building a stronger, greener Canada—not only for today, but for generations to come.
In the coming months, Kristian plans to organize a meeting with riding members and volunteers to listen to community priorities and develop a shared vision for the future. This initiative will lay the groundwork for establishing an Electoral District Association (EDA), bringing people together around a common goal: ensuring a lasting Green Party presence in the region.
With a riding that encompasses the diverse and dynamic regions of Haut–Saint-Laurent, Beauharnois–Salaberry, and Vaudreuil–Soulanges, Kristian believes in the power of collaboration and grassroots action.
